VegasUsers.com chat event!

We're holding our first ever chat event at http://www.vegasusers.com/chat/login. The topic will be Workflow challenges in Vegas 6 and will be hosted by Douglas Spotted Eagle. This will take place Wednesday, September 14 at 8:30pm eastern / 5:30pm pacific. We will also be discussing ideas for what we as users would like to see in the future of Vegas.

Participation does require registering a chat handle with your email address. This process usually takes a minute or less, but can sometimes be delayed at times. You may want to register early and poke around the chatroom interface to see what it's like before our event starts. That way you can comfortably concentrate on the topic at hand rather than trying to learn all the functions at that time.

This event is open and all are welcome. We do expect that participants will be courteous and constructive. Hopefully all will go well and this will be the first of many such events. We look forward to seeing many of you there and continuing to build the Vegas community.

Thanks Kelly for organizing this with Spot.

So, for the UK, that's like 2:30am Sept 15th - yeah? Ah-ha . . . Probably the best time to hold it, for everybody else - as I'll be too sleepy to participate . . LOL!

Really looking forward to the live chat. Thanks again Kelly,

Best regards,

Graham "Grazie" Bernard

ps: Is my present photograph, on your site, good enough? Or should I be dressed in a dinner jacket and formal dickie bow? One wants to give the occasion the correct "posh" look! Don't yah know!

I'm 5 hours from GMT, so i think that would make it 1:30am for you.

Black tie and tails not required.

Are you on daylight saving? Without DST we're 18 hours ahead of Los Ang. Or 14 hours ahead of eastern DST.
Chienworks wrote on 9/10/2005, 8:11 PM
Yes, we currently are on daylight savings time. It's 11:10pm right now as i post this. On your screen it should show your local time, so you can calculate.
Serena wrote on 9/10/2005, 9:41 PM
yes indeed it does. So I calculate that your longitude is approximately 75W. A error that I could have been made was that you didn't mention that it was Saturday at your end, which makes it Sunday here. Thanks.

Sounds cool, out of curiosity would workflow challenges in Vegas 6 have anything to do with what we'd like to see in Vegas 7?

Serena, yes. The chat server is at 42.3804 N, 74.7116 W. I should also mention that that is Eastern USA timezone and the chat event starts at 8:30pm in my timezone.

edit: Arggg, the site i looked it up on was wrong. Here's the correct values:
42.3695 N, -74.6695 W
+42° 22' 10.20" N, -74° 40' 10.20" W

If you're really curious: Google Map it!

Ah, I can't top that!

Umm....I don't know that we'll be able to call it "Vegas 7" but I imagine we'll be talking about workflows for Vegas 6 and what we'd like to see as solutions to those workflows in future versions of the application. :>)

Just a reminder, the chat event starts in about 8 hours. We've had about 20 people sign up so far. It should be great!
