After using Vegas for 3 years now, this minor issue is getting to me (I've tried a search and nothing found).
After I place a clip on the time-line, is there a hotkey or shortcut to put a velocity on it? I don't want it on the entire track, rather clip by clip.
If you use a Velocity Envelope, that IS event by event - not track level. An alternative to the Velocity Envelope is to simply hold down the CTRL key and then resize the clip. Resize it shorter, it goes faster. Resize it longer, it goes slower.
Julius_ this is for Vegas6 . . . I can't find a Keystroke for this .. but, why not assign your own? Make your own Keystroke for this "InsertVelocity Envelope" ? Why not make your own? It is dead easy . .really.
Highlight it and then in the "Press new shortcut keys" enter your own. Make sure you don't USE keystrokes for other commands.
Well I just made one for what you ask. Mine was: CTRL+I+I . DON'T ADD the pluses marks, this is keystroke language you see happen when you enter keystrokes. The "second" I forced a "comma" in front of it.
Now I just used it. I place 5 video events on timeline and "picked-off" 4 of the 5 hit CTRLII and voila! VeloEnvels on JUST those 4!
