Velvet Matter vs. Trapcode Shine plugin?

Anyone compared these two? - I'm highly curious if I can use this in place of the trapcode plugin and get a good result, as it is I like the rays better than some other and the total package for less than 150 may be a soon purchased package. I'm just wondering if anyone has compared them since I can't use Shine w/ Vegas.

Thanks for input.

I Downloaded the trial for this plugin, though there is no z control, so to speak. There is an aspect control and that is similar - so far the only downfall I see is that just like the included plugin, the text glow doesn't seem to get quite how I want it, however the quality of the rays plugin alone is VERY good (from what I can see so far). I think that the next plugin purchase I make is right here. I'm glad someone posted it on the forums. Thanks.

Velvet Matter Rays is very similar to Shine. Shine has a bit more control but Velvet Matter totally rocks for $150 bucks, plus you get a bunch of other very nice plugs as well. Defocus, Soft Contrast and Fill Light are great too. The latter two can be used to achieve some very cool "magic bullet" looks.

Of course the best thing about it is that it works great with Vegas and previews quickly. It's also very easy to use - easily worth the money.

Velvat Matter's Radiance includes more features as Trapcodes Shine and is much cheaper in the end.

I find quality of all the Radiance features is simply great.

GenArts Sapphire plugins [ www.genarts.com] totally rock, and u can access them in vegas via Boris.
Personally I am using them in Fusion where I am doing all my finishing.
Vegas still my #1 NLE tho...

alright - I think that the more I use it - the more I feel it is a PHAT deal. I have to say that I'm really enjoying these plugins.
