Anybody have a clue when Ver. 5 might be out. I am looking at the ver 4 trail and am seriously thinking of buying it but would not like doing that and then have the newer one appear.

However, given that Vegas 6 just came out, I would guess the next version of VMS would be out sooner rather than later.

Nevertheless, if you did buy now and VMS 5 came out a couple of months from now, the upgrade would probably only cost you $30. That's what Sony charges for upgrades now (and hopefully it won't change in the near future).
