Is there such a thing as a simple DVD only printer .. I've gotta HP Deskjet . .getting another printer JUST for the ability to print DVDs is a bit .. well .. silly!
Grazie, I use the Verbatim Printable surface DVDs. But you DO have to specify "Printable Surface"
As for printers, I think you'll be better off with something like the Epson. However, the answer to your question is yes. Take a look at something like the Primera Signature series.
Ed,
He is in Europe so he also has the Canon printers to choose from. Also Grazie, don't forget to check the media ID of the Verbatims to see who actually makes them. There is the compatibility issue as well as how well they burn.

Yeah, I know the Epson isn't the only choice. It's just what he was talking about earlier. Any of the options is cheapter than the Primera - and based on what I have seen will also give better looking results. I also have access to a Signature III and my Epson 960 looks better.
I have been using the Verbatim printable since day one with the Epson 960 and they work well. The CD-R Verbatim printable discs seem to have more gloss.
We have 4 Signature Pro's at work and at home I use a Epson 900. I can say without a doubt that the Epson 900 gives better print quality than the Signature Pro's do. They are also a lot easier to maintain and they stay in alignment much better as well. If only epson would desing a printer just for CD printing to compete with the signature Pro's...they'd be rich....well more rich :)
