Version 8b and 8c hang while Building Peaks

I have already submitted a case with Sony on this (Reference #071121-000127). No response so far...

When trying to import a large (12gig) mt2 file both version 8b and 8c hang while Building Peaks. It consistently hangs at 42%. Version 7a imports the same file without any problems.
I can import smaller mt2 (up to 8 gig) files into version 8b or 8c just fine.

The files were captured using Video Capture without problems.

Has anyone experience any similar problems with this version?

My biggest file I ever loaded to VMS was 3 GBs... If this works on v7, then it's a bug on v8, and the only thing you can do is email back Sony and ask them to file a bug report for you.
