Version Confusion

I purchased Vegas a long time ago (when it was still owned by Sonic Foundry), so I currently own Vegas version 4 and DVD Architect v 1.0 . I want to upgrade, but currently can't afford Vegas Pro 8 . Mainly I would like to upgrade my architect product but with all the repackaging Sony has done I'm confused about the versions and what I can get "standalone".

What's the difference between Architect Pro 4.5, Architect 4.0, and Architect Studio 4.5?

It looks like I can only buy the studio product standalone - is this correct?

Thanks!

I believe the main differences are:

Both versions of DVA 4.5 will run on Vista, 4.0 will not.
The Studio versions do not have provision for scripting, subtitling and, I believe, one or two other functions.

Yes, only Studio versions can be bought standalone.

Thanks Mike,

A bit of a bummer I can't buy the non-Studio version standalone as I like the scripting capability.
