Vertical Video 1080-1920?

Hi-

A client asked if I could send a video that's HD vertical. The content of same is simply a talking character animation that he wants to put in a frame to appear to be a wall painting type presentation.

Am I best to just lay the talking head on it's side down and left and render as a 1920 x1080 and then tell him to merely mount his monitor vertically? Or is there a way with Vegas to render as a true vertical video. I always get confused when this kind of need arises and what the receiver needs to do.

I'm using Vegas Pro 19.

Thanks for any advice or thoughts, Bob

In VPro 19 and VPro 20 is it possible to use a default HD vertical project ( look in the project properties) and to render it using a vertcal rendertemplate.

Thanks j-v, I'll take a look. So, if that is indeed possible, the client mounts the monitor vertically and plays properly, correct? So in essence, it's the same as if I lay the character down say to the left 45 degrees. Only difference if I made vertical project setting I guess, is that on my end I could see what it looks like normally. Know what I mean?

I hope you mean 90 degrees...

Hah- Yes, sorry about that! I had glanced at the clock while writing and it was 11:45. '-)

Vegas 20 has also vertical rendertemplates by default, in Vegas 19 projecttemplate is shown by @jetdv but the rendertemplate you have to customize from a standaard HD template.
