VERY long rendering time

is it normal to 13 sec videoclip with (pentium 4 2,4 Gz 1300MB ram)
takes 22 minute to rendering to AVI....??
So just in case i will render 5 minute clip...it will take HOURS to render...Or did i do something wrong...

I got 1 audio track and 2 VIDEO tracks...on working progress

terovilen, first thing to check would be your track opacity sliders and track volume sliders. These are easy to bump, and will definitely, radically, increase your render times.

Its always important to monitor the number of transitions and fx. That will hender fast render times. Fixing the "Flicker" in text by adding Gaussian Blur at .02 will hurt you bad. I did that and my 1 hour television broadcast went from 2.5 hours render time to 45 hours.

Be very careful of adjustments however small...
