Made a VCD of some still images... when played in DVD the pictures looked really poor... (pixialated)I used jpgs to make the movie. I went back and used higher res jpgs and used the preview feature which brought up windows media player... images looked poor still. I them used uncopressed photoshop images and still look like crap in preview. Wondering if I need to burn a copy of the movie with the uncompressed files and check it on the dvd player and TV.... has anyone used scanned photo's to make a VCD and had the pictures look good when played back on a DVD & TV?

thanks

Check your project properties. If the images look bad in the preview window, chances are your project is set to a low resolution.

I'm doing it successfully. I'm just trying to make a slide-show for a party so I'm not being all that picky but it looks usable to me on my 32" TV.

I'm using all jpgs. Most of the pics are photos which were scanned on a Canon CanoScan N67OU in .tif format at 300x300 DPI then converted to jpgs. Some other pics came directly from my Canon S110 digicam. These are at 1200 x 1600 True Color.
