I have been using vegas for 3 years now and normally just use vegas to edit videos captured with my dvx100. I now have a need to capture some VHS video that are about 2hrs in length. I want to 2 hours of video on the DVD as well. I am using a Canopus ADVC300 to capture the video as AVI. Once I have the AVI , I tried rendering it to MPG2 using Vegas - and it took 16+ hours on a dual core 2.8G machine. Am I doing something wrong?
My next attempt was to use DVD Architect 3 and have it optimize and fit to disk the AVI - looks like it will take 5 hours.
Any idea on the best way to do this?
Thanks,
Brian
