This is a known issue with VidCap and XP.
VidCap does not recognize Dx8.1 which is the newest
version and is integrated into the XP OS. It will not
install because of this. I have already brought it to
the attention of SF tech support. I was told that
since XP is not an officially supported OS, they were not sure when a fix would be out, probably not before
the final version of XP is released. My question
for you is, have you got VidCap to install by installing Video Factory first? I wonder if that would
work with the VF2.0 demo also?

Win XP technologies are still something of a moving target (even at RC2), but we are paying very close attention and will have XP certified versions of Vegas, Vidcap, and VideoFactory as soon as possible after XP goes gold.
