I have a confusing issue started today when trying to use VidCap on the main computer I use for editing.
I need to print a file to Betacam tape. I have done this many times using VidCap's print to tape feature.
Nothing has changed on the system, as far as I know, since the last time it successfully worked. However now when I click on the 'Add Files' icon on the Print to Tape tab it just locks up. Or if I try to save to a new or open an existing Vidcap file, it again locks up. It seems to lock up whenever I try to do something that would mean reading or writing to any location on the computer
I have tried deleting the default.sfvidcap file but again with no success. As soon as I try to do something the program just locks up and I have to use Task Manager to close it. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled Vegas but to no effect.
I am running a Core i7 with Vista Business 64 bit OS and both 32 and 64 bit versions of Vegas 9.0c installed. VidCap is doing the same in both versions. When I uninstalled , I uninstalled both versions.
Anybody got any ideas as to what is happening and how to fix it.
Thanks
Jeff
