Vide FX (Cookie cutter) not working

I have Vegas Movie Studio(VSM) Platinum and Vegas 6.
When I created cookie cutter using VMS it works fine. But when I use Vegas 6 the effects cannot be seen in the preview window during playback.
Did anyone encountered this probelm. Please advise.
I have spend 2 days to add some FX (Cookie cutter) in Vegas 6. Still no good news.

Sounds like you've turned on the Split Screen option. Click on the button just above the preview screen that looks like a circle half dark and half light to turn it off.
