Video; Advanced Tutorial

dsanders wrote on 9/7/2001, 8:50 AM
One of the Sonic Foundry Tech Support guys suggested that we start the subject with either Video or Audio so I thought I would try to follow their recommendation!

Has anyone bought the VV Advanced Tutorial? I went through the begining tutorial that came with the product. It was very helpful in showing a newbie how to get around from within VV but didn't really cover any editing techniques. Is the advanced tutorial worth the money? I basically have no clue as to what I am doing - I'm just making it up as I go along (with some pretty good results). But I would like to learn more some.

So can anyone give me either a thumbs up or down review on the tutorial?

Thanks,
Don Sanders

Hey DON,
I'm just saying AMEN to your post. The first tutorial was ok, but pretty basic.
I really want to get some more in depth training, but . . . I"M CHEAP. I'm not wanting
to shell out the $30 (since right now this is a hobby/fascination .although I may have some business oppurtunties coming up:-)
I'd like to get a 'review' of the Advanced tutorial.

I've also been checking EBAY to see if anyone is selling a used one :-)

I purchased the Advanced Tutorial and while I didn't really learn anything startling I did pick up a few tips that made my life easier and it was definitely worth the $29 in my opinion.

I agree. The tutorial is far more advanced than the one that comes with VV and I learned a few interesting shortcuts that I thought were useful. Definitely worth $30 imo.

I've looked at the tutorials available on SF's web page. Where did you purchase your VV Advanced Tutorial?

You used to be able to purchase it directly from their web store for $29. Maybe they got rid of it since it was for VV2?

What would all of you out there like to see in the next Vegas Video 3 tutorial? I for one would like to see a Vegas Audio 3 one myself. Like it was said before I didn't feel it was an amazing CD, but I really did learn a trick or two which made me look good in front of a couple of clients already!
Anyone?
