Video angle issues when prepairing a dvd

Curiosity wrote on 10/11/2020, 4:17 AM

Hello here,

I have a "An error occur when writting the file" - "unknown error" when I'm adding "video angle" to my project. If I'm deleting those video track everything is fine.

All my video file are in the same codec, which is .MP4

I already try to convert all the video file in MPEG-2, but the problem still occur.

If someone can help me please.

If you are trying to create a DVD (not a bluray) it is better for your source to be an AVI rather than MP4. I don't know if this is the problem, but it would be worth a try. Also be sure your total storage required is not more than a normal DVD disk. The alternate angle has to be re-rendered by DVDA so you need to allow for this video storage as well.

From HELP FILE:

"Any title that contains multiple video tracks will be recompressed when you prepare your project so the main video and the alternate angles can be combined into a new video file. To avoid recompression artifacts (and unnecessary processing time), use AVI files for your multiangle video titles."

Well thanks DougT,

I'd tried to convert all the video in .AVI, it seems to work but I have a problem with one of them, I don't know why. I have 14 angles videos, when I'm preparing the DVD with the 13 other it's ok.

I'd tried to change the name of the file, delete some part of the menu (link to subtitles for example) but nothing works...

And I have enough space since I'm using only 50% of the DVD storage.

UPDATE: it's a problem with the timeline. When I'm moving the video somewhere else, it's ok. But I still don't understand why...
