i have long video file (9h), when i try to import to vegas pro- file attributes 1920x1080 and -3:36:03 time, and i cant put the file on timeline... what can i do to fix it?
Please share MediaInfo using the free app by that name. It may be a media format VEGAS doesn't support and needs conversion with software like Handbrake or ShutterEncoder.
Video files have size limits, based on their format, architecture, OS, and drive partition sizes, like FAT32 and NTFS.
Most recording software records until you stop it; however, unless it is within the Format and File Size Specification for the drive and OS it was recorded on, it will never decode to raw bits for editing. Very little you can do if that is the case.
A 9 hour unsegmented file seems suspect for exceeding at least one of the predetermined physical specifications.
