Video & Audio out of sync

I have a few questions I hope can be answered:

1) Although I've read the manual over and over again for VideoFactory, how can I create an event? Example: If I decide to
delete out a specific portion of an mpeg file by highlighting it then hitting the delete key, I just created an event. I need to
know how to create an event without having to delete a portion of the mpeg file. If I place the cursor on the timeline and
want to create an event at that point, how do I do it?

2) My captured mpeg video and audio are out of sync. Does anyone know of a way to move the video or audio as a
"whole" event across the grid to make the match? I know you can stretch the beginning and end of an audio event to match
the video but I'm looking for a way to move the entire audio or video event to match the other without altering the material in
the event I'm moving.

3) I've created an mpeg file with many events. If I would like to separate the events from each other instead of having them
butted up against each other on the time line, how would I do this? In other words, I'd like to be able to drag events away
from each other, the whole audio/video event. I'm separating the events, matching the audio and video, and then putting the
events right back next to each other as close as I can get them without creating a fade.

Any help answering these questions would be greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance.
