Video capture

I have just purchased video factory (download version) and
cannot find the video capture programme. Am I missing
something?? I thought the package was the editor and
capture programmes? Also, is it possible to capture still
images from either the capture or Video Factory programmes?
The snapshot function in preview, where does it put the
images?, do I have to paste them into another application?
I would have hoped to be able to save images directly??

Video Capture is there, Click Tools and it's right there. You can download the manual under Support -
Downloads.

Hi Paul, you can capture stills in VideoFactory's Video
Preview window by clicking on the "Copy Snapshot" button.
They get copied to the clipboard for pasting into another
application for saving. A future version of Video Capture
may directly allow saving stills.

Thanks!

Thanks Dee, can you recommend any good (free, cheap??!!)
applications to capture video and take stills, will the
Video capture app within Video Factory do it?

Hi Paul, please see my previous post about VideoFactory
and "Copy Snapshot" capability.

Hi Robert

Had the same problem, took me a while... I copied
regsvr32.exe into my system folder, then using the start ->
run command line, typed in regsvr32.exe /u atl.dll.

The problem most likely was for some reason I didn't have a
copy of this file in my windows or windows\system folder --
checked and it was there on the laptop.

But, I was tired of playing around (that reboot after every
attempt stinks)so I did the unregister routine to make sure
something else hadn't already registered the file in some
conflicting way.

luck

Thanks Mike. That did the trick. Now if I could just
download the mpeg plug-in.
