Video Capture

I have a Sony DCR VX 2000 camcorder and a MSI 5600 VGA Card. Using Vegas 4 I am unable to detect the camcorder in the capture mode when I use an S video cable into the VGA Card. I have installed latest capture drivers recommended by MSI and have the same problem when using composite video. What am I missing?

Vegas capture works through firewire (IEEE1394). You will want to get a firewire card (about $30) if you don't already have one built in to your computer.
