I have been capturing video and sending the clips to an external hard drive. I set the external hard drive as the destination through the disk management tab in the video capture window. All that seems to be working fine, however, I am losing hard drive space on my " C " drive as well ( about 20 gb so far ) and I can't figure out why.

I am new to this software, and video editing in general, and I would appreciate any ideas or suggestions....even things that may seem too obvious : )
