Most times when I use video capture the sound is okay -- good waveforms. But other times the peaks are compressed -- the AGC is not doing its best.

Is there a way to get a wave form to look at during capture that would permit me to adjust my audio input level? I can do it with some trial and error, ie. make several test captures at different audio settings and check the wave form on the time line, but I'd like something better and quicker.
