Video capture available time problem

I have a 500 GB Western Digital external hard drive. When I go to capture video, I added the drive so I could record footage to it. It shows that the drive is 72% free, but it is only showing that it has about three hours of record time available when it should be more like 25-30 hours available.

I have looked over all the settings, but don't see anything set up incorrectly, so why is it doing this and is there anyway to fix it?

I just checked my new 500GB drive with 84% free space. VidCap tells me there's only about 6 hours available. Meanwhile the old 500GB drive with only 36% free reports about 8 hours available.

Methinks it's probably not calculating the available time correctly. I'd guess that you'd be able to capture the full 25 hours or so anyway.

"Days" are dropped in the calculation. So if you had 3 days 4 hours worth of capture time available, it will read as 4 hours.
