I downloaded the software yesterday and I decided to test the video capture screen. I have ESET security running which popups a message to allow or block any app from accessing the web camera.
When I first clicked the Vegas Capture some error came up on the screen. I'm not sure if this was JavaScript, I did not take a screenshot but it definitely was some script error since I had to dismiss the message. Next I got the popup from my security software to allow the camera which I did but only received a black screen. I assume immediately the error was related to this.
I then closed Vegas Pro, and tried again, no errors this time, but my security software does not ask me to allow the camera either. I tried everything, turning off the security software, allowing the camera for Vegas, rebooting several times. Nothing. Every time I click the Vegas Capture now, all I see is a black screen box and nothing else. Its like its remembering the error permanently and will just default to this.
It seems something inside the software is on a permanent error and as such it will not trigger the web camera or what ever functions it wants to trigger to record the screen again. I assume this is why I also see a black box and nothing else.
Is there a way to fix or reset this so I can test the screen capture mode? I have OBS so it's not a big deal but just curious why this function is dead.
If it helps, I installed the software on a new brand Dell system I received, it's not a hardware issues as everything is new, not an old laptop and even Windows is new, all I did is just install my regular software and after all was done I installed Vegas Pro for testing.
