Video Capture by USB

The camcorder I am using is a Panasonic PV-GS250 which only has a USB connection, no firewire. Will vegas recognize a USB connected camcorder?

I just looked at the specs for the PV-GS250, and it does have Firewire. Read the manual.

I have GS250. All I use is the firewire. The right cable came with the camera.
Open the viewfinder door and you'll see the DV output in the bottom right. That's the firewire port. If I remember correctly the USB will not do scene detection when capturing which is a drag.
