video capture card and converter

Just got VV3 and need to capture video from my Sony DCR-TRV27 camcorder. Can anyone tell me what capture card I need and where to get it and if I need a converter?

Any firewire card will do, and you need a 6 pin to 4 pin cable. I bought a cheapo $10 card on eBay and it has worked flawlessly. You should not need anything else to capture.

Get your firewire cable from www.casecooler.com. I was able to get one for $12 shipped that would have cost $50 in the store! :)
