Canopus products all seem to work great. I have the AVDC-1394 from Canopus and Vegas sees that fine and always captures with no dropouts. There are ADS products too but I prefer the Canopus line. I plan on replacing the 1394 card with the AVDC-300 box come the time the card dies.

ADSTech IEEE1394 (PCI) + Matrox Millenium G450 here.
