Are you using a firewire cable to connect to your computer?

How fast is your computer?

Do you have the latest version of DirectX installed? (DirectX 9.0C -- To check, go to Run and type in dxdiag.)

Do you have any other brand of video editor or capture software installed on your computer?

2). 3.0 GHZ, 800 MHZ FSB, 1MB L2 Cache
3). DirectX is 9.0c
4).I have Microsoft Movie Maker and I did a project on that, now I'm going to use Sony Movie Studio for my projects.

USB! That's the problem right there, vap!

Running DV through a USB is like trying to send a fax with two tin cans and a ball of string. (Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating little, but you get my point.)

Firewire is the only way to transfer DV from your camcorder to your computer, and I'm confident that doing so will make all the difference.
