video capture from pc video card

What is the best procedure, and interface, for capturing VGA output directly from the PC video card?

I need to see the entire computer screen, and all mous emoves, etc.

I think it is called "Cantasia". Another option is a good camera with a clear screen shutter option. Output from a Raedon ATI card via S-Video is fairly clean etc.

I tried using my TV Out on my Radeon card right into my capture card, but the computer started to bog down (i had a p3-667 at the time). I'd recomend hooking your vid out to your camera/VCR, then playing that back and capturing it.

Do a search in for Camstudio. It will capture all screen activity to your harddrive in AVI format. Good Luck John
