Video Capture - Help!

It just doesn't seem like it should be this hard, but I can't find the answer anywhere. Is it possible to adjust the capture resolution in SF Video Capture? It's "stuck" on full size (720x480) and I don't need to capture at that size. I have a 22-minute clip to capture and I don't want to waste all that HD space.

Read out on bottom of the screen reads:
DV NTSC - 720x480 - 360x240 - Available Time: etc.

I'm capturing via a SONY DVMC DA2.

Thanks!
Rob

Here's what's admittedly only a guess:

Capturing in a format other than that which is "native" to the media that you're capturing from would require real-time conversion, rather than just a straight capture... and my impression is that the capture utility program simply doesn't do that.
In fact, going from one format to another usually requires RENDERING in the new format. I'm guessing the transformations involved are too compute-intensive to be done on the fly in real time.
