Video Capture Preview

For some reason my video capture preview window will not work. I have read the other posts regarding the trimmer but it still will not work when I am importing video to the computer

The trimmer and the video capture preview have nothing to do with each other.

Can you import video successfully? If so, do you have the preview turned off?

Yes I can import video sucessfully and I am not sure if it is turned off. Can you tell me how I would I can check.

Are you in version 8.1, by chance? If so, that's a known bug. The application captures video from your camera, but the preview simply doesn't work. It was in the 8.1 bug thread, but I reported it to SCS last week, and they told me it was a known issue.

But if you are talking about version 8c, then that works fine here.

EDIT: Just re-read your OP... You are sort of talking about two different things as Chienworks pointed out. But I guess now I am confused--your problem is with...

1) The video capture window, or
2) The "import" feature

If it's option #1, then see my post above. If it's #2 and you are in 8c (because again, that feature is different than in version 8.1), then that has to do with the Show Video Monitor button being pushed in the Trimmer.
