Video Capture using Dazzle Digital Video Creator II

Has anyone had success with capturing video using the
Dazzle Digital Video Creator II (PCI)?
It comes up as an option under the Video menu in Video
Capture but can’t be selected.
I have a Pinnacle Systems PCTV USB device that works for
video capture so I know capturing works.
Thanks for any help.
OS: Win2000 SP1
System: PIV 1.4
File System: NTFS5

Hi Stan

May have you beat for wierdness, though I'm hoping my problem might give you a clue as to a workaround. I've got a marvel 400, and the matrox capture driver holds onto whatever settings for format -- I assume you've got the same sort of driver setup. If I start the capture prog. with the hardware mpeg selected, except for the very first time, I'll get a crash. If I select a non hardware format (YUV or RGB) in another program before I start the capture app, or if I select YUV or RGB before closing the capture app, all's fine. Another way I found to get it to work, was to delete the registry key: current user->software-> sonic foundry -> videocapture (changing the entries doesn't help) -- this had to be done each time before starting the capture program. Maybe that'll give ya some clue (I hope), & if tech support's listening -- HELP!
