Video: Chroma keying and Visual FX done in Vegas.

Hey guys I just wanted to share this Visual FX clip with you that I have made.
It includes a Visual FX breakdown.

All done in Vegas including the grading.
Used color curves and secondary color corrector for selective grading.
Did some Luma correction with the Broadcast color plugin, added some film grain etc.

I have done some blue screen shooting this weekend for my indie movie.

I made this clip to see how good I could chromakey it/ cut it out using just Vegas.
I didn't want to use After Effects or whatever.

The final scene will look a bit different, it needs a bit more tweaking, but I am quite happy with the result. Especially that there is no visible border around the subject.

I must say that even though the native chromakeyer from Vegas is good, the BCC Chromakey studio plugin does a better job. So I ended up using that.

I haven't done a head to head comparison to AAF and keylight yet.

It's shot with my beloved Sony camera, flat profile settings and full manual control, including exposure, focus and shutter. Set the iso gain to 0 db for noise free recording.

Here are the behind the scenes foto's.
