Video disappears

Video disappears in the little screen, but in video track it shows, audio is ok and file itself shows video when it's not uploaded. I tried reloading, uploading file again, opening it in a new project, nothing worked. I thought I fixed it when I copied file to a new project first and the copying other videos, that are normal, but once I played those videos in the new project, the file that didn't show video would do it again.

I'm using Vegas Pro 13.0; my operating system is Windows 10; I'm not shure about hardware setup though.

Thank you very much💜

What’s on the Tracks above Track 4? You’ve not included Tracks 1 to 3 in your ScreenGrab.

So in the first track is just black bars (I don't know if there is a better way to do them, but I made it with solid white and set that track on Multiply (mask)) as you can see the blue part shows everything ,but the red one doesn't.

Second is just subtitles in some parts and those words in screenshot.

Third is that white block behind the words.

And last night alsow this appeared. I don't really understand what this is.

I think I just fixed it! When that first track is over the video everything is normal, and when it's not, the sreen is black. Stupid mistake 😅

Yes, this was due to the Multiply compositing mode you used in your first track. "Multiply" multiplies pixel values. And if there is nothing in this track, the pixel value used for multiplication with the tracks below is zero. And while 0 x (0 ... 255) = black, that's what you got.

I am having sort of the same problem. The little video box has disappeared while trying to edit my videos so now i can't actually see whats going on and how the video looks while i'm editing it. I have tried everything for days and hours upon hours and it still wont pop back up. Ever since it went down the video and audio are completely out of sync even though they are the same length. The video preview box just went away. I didn't even press anything. Also after it went down the master sound bar (where you can control the sound) next to where the preview would be went away and i can't get that back either. Now I didn't press anything beforehand but since I've been trying to fix I have pressed a lot of things. I just need to know how to get that video preview back up while i'm editing because i can't edit without it because it also seemed to help sync the video and audio. I have done the Alt 4 and it brings up a video preview but it's the same one i'm talking about. Also im not very tech savvy in terms of where to find things and things of that nature. I'm using Vegas Movie Studio 14 Platinum on windows 10. It's the video preview window that disappeared along with the audio peak meters to be more specific.
