Video editing with less effort - 3 fingers

Editing holiday videos or old digitized analog video is time consuming. It is process which takes a lot of keystrokes, mouse movements and mouse clicks in Vegas pro.

So I made a tool (program). With this program it is possible to edit the bulk of the videos in Vegas with just 3 fingers. So without / with less keyboard and mouse actions. To make this possible I use for the input device my Novation Launchpad.

If you want to practice it yourself, you can download my program with the free "cuts editor template" at the same place.

Well, to be honest, it looks more complicated than 'normal' methods. For a start, who has a Novation Launchpad? For basic editing, I'm probably only using 3 fingers anyway. 1 on the mouse button, 1 on the space bar/enter buttons, and 1 for choosing keyboard shortcuts such as 's' to split.

Who has a Novation Launchpad?

People who make music with programs like Ableton Live or FL Studio.
I agree that there will be few people who own a Launchpad and Sony Vegas Pro.
I think the principle of my program (midi to keystroke sequences) is usefull.
There will be some people who own Vegas Pro and an iPad or a midi keyboard.

Some advantages of my (demonstration) program with the Launchpad :
- no configuration needed in Sony Vegas, no additional driver or program installing needed : just connect your Launchpad, start my program, start Vegas and you are ready to go;
- buttons can be keystroke sequences (a lot of keypresses).

Try some tasks in the traditional way as cutting video synchronous with the transient of music and count the keyboard pressures, mouse clicks etc.. Maybe you see my program is not a such bad idea at all. As an example : a button like "Trim clip left from cursor" contains a lot of keystroke actions.

I am just experimenting to improve my workflow with repetitive tasks (without scripting in Sony Vegas PRO). It is like a dashboard with "super shortcuts". Maybe some people will like it, if not, that is ok for me too.
