Video effect

I know that everybody has seen something like this. A logo seems to reflect light as a light moves accross the object left to right and sparkles.I have also seen this on many video games on the titles, etc. I would like to create this effect, what app do I use to get this effect?

I think you mean either Lens Flare or Light Rays, both of which you will find in the Vegas FX toolbox...Give them a try to see if it's what you are looking for...Use keyframes to created the movement of the effect.
