Video Event FX box tiny after upgrading

Kimberly-Durecki wrote on 9/3/2021, 3:02 PM

Hello,

I just upgraded from vegas pro 17 to vegas 19. My video event FX box is super super tiny on my 4K monitor. How can I increase the size of this along with the entire program. Also when I upgraded all of my Continium FX have a red x over them and they are registered. The new 2020.5 came with the upgrade and none of them work. Thank you in advance. Photo is attached.

Wow... that is an OLD NewBlue plugin screen. That is still using the old DirectX plugin from over a decade ago. Those plugins have been updated to OpenFX since version 10 of VEGAS started supporting OpenFX. You don't have to worry about interface sizes with the OpenFX versions (but you also won't have the "dials" any longer) - they will use the standard OpenFX controls.

Two things to look at: in the Windows Display settings, what is the '%' value set to? What if you make it 100%?

In VEGAS, what are the HighDPI settings set to? You might try different HighDPI settings and see what happens.

Realistically, I'd switch to using the OpenFX versions of those plugins...

As per @jetdv .. it looks like it's time to upgrade.

Are you mixing the 2020.5 version of BorisFX plugins with older BCC plugins? - because historically only the same version of BCC plugins can exist on the computer at the same time. If you have the BorisFX app on your computer, try deactivating the current install and then reactivating via one of the plugins. This can also be done via your BorisFX My Account, but only once per 30 days.

Hello, My windows display setting is at 175%... My Vegas High DPI is set to Use High DPI scaling ( where available). The photos I uploaded was the cause of after I upgraded from Vegas 17 to Vegas 19. It was not that way in Vegas 17. Thank you for your help.

No, once I upgraded to Vegas 19 and installed BorixFX it uninstalled all my old plug ins. None of the new plug ins that came with Vegas 19 even show up or work. Thank you.

@Kimberly-Durecki, what does that Dual Booster screen look like at 100%?

Did you try different HighDPI settings?

I'm not saying you need to leave it at 100%, I'm saying test it out with different values and see what makes that screen change.

It was at 175% as you viewed it and it is that small , If I go to 200% yes it is a bit bigger but then of course all my icons on my desktop are HUGE lol

@Kimberly-Durecki I meant the fact that the words under the dials are cut off. You would need to make the percentage SMALLER to get those words back.
