Video Factory 2.0 Quality

Now when I can get this thing to capture, a typical clip will splinter into segments about 6 seconds long. What's up?
I'm fed up with Video Factory!! Can anyone recommend a good movie software?

Video Factory 2.0 is pretty old now (it was released in 2002) .

The current equivalent to it is Vegas Movie Studio 8 - why not download the trial version and try it out ?

As an owner of Video Factory, you qualify for the upgrade pricing to VMS8 (which makes the basic version pretty cheap e.g. 9.95 GBP - about 20 USD - for the download version). The Platinum version is about twice the price, but includes DVD authoring, HD support etc
