.mob files? Sounds like a new TV show.

If you really mean JVC .mod video files, try renaming to .mpg and see if they work. If not, they will need to be converted using a third party utility.

Did you really mean .MOB or is it.MOV?? 'B' and 'V' next to each other on the keyboard.

Vegas can open .MOV files, usually without any problems. Sometimes it depends on the version of Quicktime player you have installed.

At the suggestion of several here on the Forum I use the utility called Super (look it up on the web) to convert JVC's MOD files to AVI.

Works very well.

Or maybe it's .VOB

The JVC camera I have also creates a .TOD file in the same directory as the .MOD.

I set Explorer in Vegas to "view all files" and they are then visible, click on the .TOD and Vegas will work with them.

They are just Mpegs.

Thanks for all the help. As it turns out I did type it in wrong. The form of the file is MOV001.MOD, with a .MOD extension.
