video format

In reading my GoProHero 2 shoots 1920x1080x29, Vimeo can upload same but recommends 1280x720x29. I upload both as a test, and both have poor quality viewing. Looks like shadows or haze. In my viewer both look great HD using my VMS HDP 10. I assume the problem is Vimeo not my editing. Can someone give me some advice??

Since you've only been here less than a month, I won't chastise you about using the Search link, but consider this a friendly hint. Had you done a "vimeo" search, you would have found a link to this:
