Pretty cool. Windows 8.1 tried to keep me from downloading it, and then "save" me from unpacking it, but I prevailed on a Win 7 machine.

The avi file it produces won't open in my Vegas 13 install. Was it your intent to let it be dragged into Vegas to work as a thumbnail?

I can pause VLC to see what is there.

Thanks for doing this - it is useful.

I have not tried this software as yet, so your experience is interesting. As I conceive of the use - it would be outside of the NLE. In other words you bring a source video up into a contact sheet for viewing - a source video that you would later intend to edit in an NLE.
So I don't see it as creating videos that other apps can use. Maybe I am wrong?

What I see this program doing is plucking a frame out of an input file once a second. What would be most useful to me (and I am not complaining!) would be a still - a jpg or png or somesuch. I would probably pull it into Vegas not intending for it to be part of the finished product, but there as, well, an easily accessed contact sheet.

I think.

Thanks again.
