video fx cannot be edited

Hello! I really hope somebody can help me out here.
I have a project due on Saturday and i can't seem to edit any of the video effect plud-ins. Whenever i select a plug-in, the timeline window is the only thing that appears. The usual editing corner where you can adjust the grains in the film effect for example is no where to be found.

All of a sudden it was gone.

Hope somebody can shed a light on this problem, its gotten me a little crazy!

Can you edit the effects in a new project? Another thing that could be (and I tested to this to make sure it coud happen) is that your effects window is off the screen. Here's how to fix that.
step 1) find a clip/event and click the effects button at the end of the clip.
step 2) hit the ALT + SPACE keys at the same time.
step 3) when the menu appears, use the arrow keys to select "move" and use the arrow keys to move it into view.

hope that helps!

You have a bar on the side of video FX window that you can drag and release the window from the docking area.

Read the manual:)

Hi,

IF you cannot see any docked windows like the preview, media pool, explorer... you could try the F11 key - it shows/hides the docking panes.
