VIDEO FX problems

I am confused about the Video FX changes I made in a project. I used the Video FX to change the contrast and color on a few of my clips. The ones that have changed have the little green FX on the clips, while the unchanged ones are still white FX. However, after coming back to the project I notice that the color and contrast in ALL the clips have changed, even the ones I didn't change with Video FX. I clicked the "Bypass all Video FX" and the originals are all restored, but the Video FX changes are also gone, of course. If I unclick "Bypass all Video FX", everything changes again, not just the clips I wanted to change. Is there some kind of global Video FX for the whole project that I inadvertently have set?

You can set effects in four places: 1) on the event, 2) on the track header, 3) in the preview (project) window, and 4) in the media pool. If you have placed an effect on the track header it affects all clips on that track. If you place one in the preview window then it affects everything.
