I haven't had a crash doing it, but it takes a long time for things to happen. There is a new update today that is suppose to fix it. I opened Vegas 19 just a few moments ago and was informed of the update.

So, did you update today? What is the version number?

As I wrote in my comment, Vegas never crashed, just took a while before typing in the next letter, and the next... but eventually, the search would be complete and then after that, the next time, no "lag".

Why it's causing a crash on your computer, I can't answer. I'm STILL downloading the update.....and I am on a fiber optic internet connection.
