Hi everyone,

I use VEGAS Pro 15 and have spent a couple hours making this video and I've found that during the preview and the finished file on my desktop both have bars on the left and top left sides, of which were originally part of the right side of the video which has been cut off?

I use a Dell G3 15.6 inch laptop

Specs:

Intel i5-8300

Geforce gtx 1050 ti

I also cant attach the video file for some reason to this forum sorry so I'll just attach a screenshot

I would appreciate your help,

Markus-r

Edit: when in preview if i select Draft - auto it goes back to normal. If i render it with this option checked will it stay like this?

Very strange, especially the change when you switch preview quality. A few questions:

1. Have you messed with track motion, or video event pan/crop at all? Are there any other effects applied to the video?

2. Have you made sure that your project resolution setting is the same as the media you are putting into it? To test, right click on your media and select properties. It will tell you the resolution in there (something like 1920x1080, if it is 1080p). Make sure your project settings match this. Also make sure the frame rate is exactly the same.

3. There is a free program called mediainfo you can download, and it will give you a report of every aspect of your media file(s). Please run that program on your media and post that report here, it will help us to diagnose the issue in case it is some sort of incompatibility with your source media.

If all else fails, if you can upload a sample clip of your media to a file share service like google drive, so we can download and test it, that would also be helpful. You don't need to worry about this step until you've gone through the first 3, though.
