... video hunt ... wanna join?

Hello everyone, and our favorite Latin lurker, et al.,
Some of you may know that I work in a history office here at Fort Bragg, NC... well, everyone who reads this message certainly knows it now... (grin) . . .
* * *
My boss (the Command Historian) wants me to hunt down a military training video from the 1960s entitled "The Third Challenge" ... of course, my initial searches bring back some reality challenge show of recent production pasted all over youtube... (sigh)
It is a color film (16 mm, I imagine) with El Tercer Reto as a search term... he is out of town and I won't have any contact with him until TUE...
* * *
Question: Any of you have a source for older films that you would like to share?
We're not sure if it is even available, we're just curious if it can be located.
Thanks for any help. . .
I'll update with any sources I might find that bring success or failure to help eliminate duplication of effort. . . so far, Google hasn't helped.

Until that time... Earl J.

I didn't have much success with Yahoo! either...
They did put me in touch with the Internet Archives with all sort of military video . . . alas and alac, not the one I'm hunting...

I'll go check out your links now... thanks again

Hello Dave,
Doc Summers over at the shoestring link was very helpful... he actually did a search for me and emailed me the results ... along with the fact that all military training films are stored in the National Archives (by Congressional Law) and many of which have been converted to more recent forms for preservation.

He is a very helpful person, and I would recommend his products to anyone, expecting that his products are a direct result of the same sense of helpfulness and concern he gave me...

The hunt is over ... it wasn't much of a safari, but certainly the target was much easier to locate than it first appeared... with a little help from my new friends...

Until that time... Earl J.
