Video Lockup

I have Movie Studio 8.0 C Build 142.
I am running Win7 64 Bit and have 6 GB of DDR3 Memory.
My CPU is Intel Core i3 2130 and the CPU Speed is 3.40 GHz.
My Graphics Card is Intel HD Graphics 1000GT1 and it has 1GB of Onboard RAM.

Everything works good in Movie Studio but when I start going into Croma Keyer and Trackmotion everything moves very very very slow.

What I meen is if I go into Trackmotion and hit the Aro Keys on my Keyboard to move a video it moves very very slow and Locks up and they after say 6 SEC. goes back to normal.

Does anyone know what is going on?

The Video Clips I am importing are very small and my Hard Drive I am Importing them from is SATA2 USB 3.0 can anyone help?

When applying effects to your events, the Preview window framerate will suffer. What setting do you have the preview window set to? Best/Full? If so, you'll need to reduce it to Good or Preview Half.

VMS8 is a 32-bit application so it's not taking full advantage of your 64-bit Windows. It also doesn't utilize a discreet GPU (whether onboard as yours is or a separate video card) so it relies on the CPU only.

You may have to turn off the FX to play through the video then turn them on when you render.

The size of your video events or hard drive space doesn't matter. The format of your video does. Is it HD or SD?

What is your Dynamic RAM Preview max setting set to Options > Preferences > Video tab. Increasing that a bit might help.

When I say it Locksup I do not meen my Previue Screen.

I meen when I click on the Croma Keyer it starts to open the Croma Keyer Window and Locksup. Then my System Locksup the Mouse does not move and then after say 5 SEC the Croma Keyer Window opens.

Then when I use the Eyedrope to select a color the Mose Locksup again and after 15 SEC it selecs the color and the Mouse and everything comes back and I can move.

This never happened to me befor and yes I did scan for Virus and I am clean. My Hard Drive is 1 TB if this meens anything.

Ok, I understand now. It still would be nice to know your preview ram setting and video formats.

While you're not having crashes, I wonder if the fix mentioned in ths thread will help:

Someone should come by with a better solution but maybe v8 just doesn't play nice in Win7 64-bit.

When you say it didn't happen before are you saying that it worked okay in Win7 64 but is now acting up?

OK I had to restart my system and now it is working ok.

But my Previue window is set to Best Auto and how do I set the Video RAM in Movie Studio like you told me and what is it for?

That was an easy fix.

It's in the Options menu. My first post lists the path. Use Help to find out what it does.
