'Video not supported' when split 3D files into 2

Haosen wrote on 3/6/2012, 3:13 AM
I have a NX3D1P 3D camera for shooting some 3D footage.

When I used the internal storage disk up, I copies the MTS files from AVCHD/BDMV/STREAM to one certain folder on my hard disc.

But when I re-import those files into the content management utility, I could not
be able to split the 3D files(named as ***. MTS) into 2D videos.

'Video not supported' was displayed when I use the function in CMU.

How to deal with it? Anyone could help me?

Great thanks!!

Have you read this:

http://pro.sony-asia.com/product/resources/en_BA/images/Brochure/BCAP/3D_Workflow_HXR-NX3D1P.pdf

Anyway, why would you want to split the file into individual left and right? The fact that Vegas can edit the files on a single timeline eliminates many problems and saves huge amounts of time since everything is always totally in sync.

beasue the vegas is toooooooooooo un-stable and always crash, even sometime crashed every five munites.

So we are to move the editing work in Apple Platform, using Cineform Neo 3D. Before that, we have to split the 3D video into left and right track.

I'm sorry to hear you are having such problems with Vegas. My system is working fine and I have edited multiple projects in 3D. The only time I have ever had a crash was using the auto-correct, stereoscopic 3d FX.

If you can import the video as suggested in the pdf I mentioned, then you could use Project Settings\Stereoscopic 3D Mode to "Render As" Left only and Right only.

Have you tested the latest build of Vegas Pro 11? It has become more stable, even for 3D. I have also done a lot of 3D projects and like it!

Really?

Yes. Really.

There are numerous troubleshooting posts on this forum that deal with removing background processes, hardware drivers, etc.

One thing I experienced when I built my system in 2008 was that the memory from Corsair somehow didn't work with my Intel MoBo and I was constantly having crashes - but only with Premiere Pro CS4. Everything else worked fine. I bought the "approved by Intel" memory and have never had another problem with Premiere even when I upgraded to CS5.5. Vegas 10.e runs with no issues and Vegas 11/595 has only crashed twice. Each of those times was with two clips out of an entire edit and was repeatable, so I think there is something in the clips themselves. I have imported JVC MVC files, Fuji W3 dual-stream *.avi files and sequential tiff files which I then made into a stereoscopic subclip.

None of this has ever crashed Vegas.
