video pauses when previewing dvd

I just upgraded to Platinum from Screenblast MS. This is my first experience with DVD Architect. I was using Sonic before this. I have been having problems with Sonic not burning the DVD correctly. I just started to play around with DVD Architect and I'm not sure what I'm doing yet. I was able to import my videos and get them ready to burn. The thing is when I go to preview the DVD the video will pause every couple seconds. Is this normal? Will this affect the way the project burns?

The pausing during preview may be caused by your system specs rather than anything "permanent".

Best way to check is to burn onto a DVD RW (To save wasting discs) and try playing on your TV.

If you have an older/slower system, it may be because of the selected preview quality. If set at "Best", you'll have the clearest, sharpest video, but may suffer from periodic slowdows such as you describe. You could try lowering the preview quality to see if that provides any better performance. This will not affect the quality of the burned DVD.
