video preview in vegas

I dock the video preview window while editing> and then float it to do final checks of edits.

what this means is I am docking and floating the video preview window quite often.

for my first few movies i made in vegas, when docked the preview was small and when floating the window would fill to project size.

Now , every time I dock or float I have to do extra mouse clicks by manually setting

"display at project size"-or not

Did I uncheck something that automatically resized the preveiw?

Hi ob,

You might try undocking the Preview window and double-clicking the titlebar... it will toggle size between 1/2 and full.

When full, you can drag to dock or undock and it should revert.

You can make the preview window smaller or larger once it is undocked. It can be adjusted like any "window" can under Windows. There seems to be a lag in getting it large, so if it isn't as big as you like just keep dragging a corner. By dragging the preview window back over its home position it should shrink back within its default boundries by itself. For me at least is seems easier to size if you first uncheck display at project size.
